START WITH WHAT YOU CAN SEE

Not sure which service you need?

You do not need to know the technical name. Tell us what you have noticed and when it happens, so we know where to start.

Water marks after rain

Water can travel before you see it indoors. Note when the mark appears and whether it follows heavy rain or wind.

Roof leak assessment

Water overflowing from the gutter

Leaves can obstruct the channel, but damaged joints or other drainage problems can also need attention. Tell us where the water spills.

Gutter cleaning and repairs

Cracked or damaged eaves lining

The board needs attention, and any continuing water entry needs checking too. Paint alone does not repair a damaged board.

SYDNEY WEATHER & ROOF CARE

Before the heavy rain arrives

Strong wind can move loose roof components, while heavy rain can reveal leaking junctions or overflowing gutters. If water reaches the ceiling or eaves, note where and when it happens. Arrange attention to known faults before the next downpour; during a storm, stay sheltered.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few things you may want to know

More questions & answers
Can a leaking roof be repaired without replacing it?

Sometimes. A defined local defect may be repaired when the surrounding roof remains serviceable. Widespread deterioration or recurring faults need a broader comparison. An inspection should explain the cause, options and limitations.

Why does water appear away from the leak source?

Water can travel along roof layers or framing before it becomes visible indoors. The stain is a starting point for investigation, not proof of the entry location.

How much do Sydney roof repairs cost?

Roof material, damage, height, pitch, access and drainage work affect the quote. Describe your property and ask for a written scope with inclusions, exclusions and payment terms.

What should I do if my roof leaks during a storm?

Move away from a sagging ceiling, falling material or water near electrical fittings. Stay sheltered and do not climb onto the roof. If the room is safe, move belongings out of the drip path. For storm emergency assistance call NSW SES on 132 500; for a life-threatening emergency call 000. Once safe, contact Ellis with your suburb, the affected rooms and when the leak started.
